Every great group needs a leader. Leonardo and the Ninja Turtles, Katy Perry and those sharks from a few years ago, five-time Emmy award winning news anchor Ron Burgundy and the Channel 4 News Team, Colin Loyet and SigEp. The cleanest thing to ever come out of Edwardsville, Illinois, Colin doesn’t like to look back at the past. Instead he looks towards the future. He has been working with the city of Springfield to bring recycling services to every house on Greek Row, is creating a program to help MSU business majors navigate the murky waters of Wall Street, and runs at least five miles a day because heart disease never sleeps. He aspires to work on Wall Street and listens to Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” to keep his eyes on that prize.
You’re enjoying a nice evening with your church group when all of a sudden, the lights dim. Horns blare, fog rolls into the room, strobe lights simultaneously blind you and give you a better look at the figure entering the room. No, this isn’t Conor McGregor (although they are the same size) this is something much more frightening. The undisputed, welterweight champion of community service...DAVID GRANT!!! Give him a few more inches (height wise) and Bill Bellicheck would be drooling over David’s potential as the gritty, vocal, fundamentally sound slot receiver that he was destined to be. God works in funny ways though and we were blessed with a great brother with a 4.0 GPA, a love for Game of Thrones, and a soul-crushing obsession with the Bears...there’s always next year, David.
Heir and only apprentice to the great Spencer Quinn, Kaden DeVore mans the books for our chapter as VP of Finance. He attended Woodlawn High and developed a skill for fishing as the Bass team captain. Kaden remains busy in college working heavy hours for Jack Henry and Associates and volunteering at the local Dream Center working with kids training to be the dad he has always wanted to be.
Yet another stallion executive leading the charge is Mr. Noah Fhanestock. A former state champion and captain in soccer, homecoming king, and varsity baseball player, Noah continued his success at MSU. He is now an Associate Justice for the Campus Judicial Board, a staple on the Dean’s list every semester, and our VP of Member Development. He loves buffalo chicken dip, Greta Van Fleet, the Clippers, his grandma, and juice Wrld.
Our only exec and chapter member from Wisconsin Anthony, more commonly known as "boda," is a proud Wisconsinite. Swoboda attended Germantown High where he played volleyball, wrestled, and golfed. Aside from athletics he was also in NHS, Spanish Honors Society, and finally Environmental Club always having a green thumb. Now a college man, he has made deans list every semester, is a captain on the club volleyball team, and also participates in Finance and Risk Management clubs pursuing his passion to become a better investor than Loyet.
Brother Kraut hails from the mean streets of Edwardsville, Illinois. In his time wandering the halls of Edwardsville High Griffin joined National Honor Society, German club--unsurprising given his last name, and played VARSITY football. He really wanted me to stress the varsity part. Kraut is our holy man, our priest, our chaplain, and our chapters Biggest Loser Champion losing 70 pounds in under a year. Not everyone appreciated his efforts but hey, look at that jaw line.
Standing 6'5" 225 lbs Elijah Dodd is not just another jock. While he is a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court, he is also trailblazing our academic legacy with an untouchable 4.0 GPA and acts as our guide for all subjects school related. Starting his reputation in Waterloo Illinois, Elijah was a part of Spanish Club, NHS, Chess Club, Renaissance club, an FFA member, and played four years of basketball.
Well, well, well if it isn’t Josh, our baby brother on exec. Josh Reed is a Construction Management major who boldly aspires to one day "get a job and start a family". A lot can be said about Josh, you’re just going to need an encyclopedia to describe him properly. Coming from Edwardsville Illinois, he has fought ambitiously and moved up the ranks now managing our coveted house and the 40 other Sig Apes inside.
Shane Vogt, or better known as "Chief", is a force to be reckoned with in any room let alone a chapter meeting. Shane was born in the backwoods of Colombia Illinois, which is why he is often confused with a lumberjack on break. Having a reckless sense of achievement, he works tirelessly to create the best social events in the Springfield area. Currently majoring in Risk Management and Insurance, he fills his free time cracking down on the liabilities in the chapter putting his risk management degree to work. Whatever you need, Shane is your guy.
